Maria Wanda Vaiarello

I'm Maria Wanda Vaiarello - a state-authorized translator for Norwegian-Italian, professional interpreter, and business facilitator. With over 30 years of experience in language services and dual citizenship (Italian and Norwegian), I bring a unique understanding of both cultures that goes far deeper than language alone.

Born and raised in Italy, I studied architecture at the University of Florence. In 1978, I received a scholarship to the University of Oslo to study Norwegian - and immediately fell in love with the country. Since then, I've built a career spanning multiple European countries, with Norway and Italy as my two home countries.

From 1992 to 1995, I ran my own import-export business between Italy and Norway. This experience gave me firsthand understanding of the trade relationship between the two countries - something that today makes me a uniquely qualified business facilitator for Norwegian companies looking to do business with Italy.

In 2006, I became a state-authorized translator at NHH Bergen - one of only two people in Norway with this certification for Norwegian-Italian. In 2020, I completed advanced training in public sector interpreting at OsloMet, qualifying me for work in courts, healthcare, and public services.

With bilingual proficiency in Italian and French, fluent Norwegian and English, and advanced German, I offer language services that few others can match. My broad experience - from architecture and medicine to law and business - means I understand the terminology, not just the words.
